The Prestigious College You Didn't Know Matt Damon Attended

Matt Damon has been working in the film industry for several decades now, starring in hit films such as "Good Will Hunting" and the popular "Bourne" franchise. His lifelong friendship with Ben Affleck is another big part of his Hollywood story, and they even moved in together in the 90s — but not before they each took a shot at college.

After graduating from high school, Affleck moved to Los Angeles to start at Occidental College, while Damon attended — drumroll, please — Harvard University. Damon applied to the prestigious college as an English major, and in his application, he confessed that "For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be an actor."

When Damon landed the lead role in "Geronimo: An American Legend," he put his lifelong dream over his college career and dropped out of Harvard. However, his stint in school was not for naught, as Damon's time in a playwriting class resulted in him writing the first draft "Good Will Hunting," his and Affleck's breakout hit.
