Months later, Odin Lloyd, who was dating Hernandez's girlfriend's sister, was found dead, and Hernandez was arrested on murder charges and released from the Patriots.

Ray Rice was relatively unknown in the NFL world until February 2014, when TMZ published footage of him dragging his then-fiancée, Janay Palmer, out of an Atlantic City elevator after an altercation. The Baltimore Ravens player was indicted on third-degree aggravated assault.
